This Real-Time Interactive 3D Led Wall is an engaging installation which was part of an immersive exhibition for Cathay Pacific, designed to get people moving while learning about the airline and having the chance to win exciting prizes.
Our client, BecauseXM, commissioned us to bring this concept to life in a captivating way at the Outernet in London, a cutting-edge digital exhibition space ideal for such an extraordinary experience. Our task was to create a physical representation of the brand’s message in a fun and unforgettable environment, where each element invited visitors to take selfies.
We developed an interactive application that showcased real-time brand icons during the event as part of an artistic installation. Utilizing gesture control through a webcam, we transformed a traditional large-format video wall into an interactive motion-controlled display. This experience contributed to a broader immersive setup crafted for the end client. We designed an application that operated from a laptop, employing custom code to manage the Ventuz runtime based on gestures captured by the webcam. The content featured Cathay Pacific’s iconic logo, creating a mesmerizing murmuration effect driven by body tracking technology. This setup allowed for full-body movement, enabling participants to influence a live 3D particle system in real-time, resulting in a unique visual experience with each new visitor.
The project exemplified how we can revitalize standard visual hardware by crafting a fully immersive interactive experience powered by real-time software.
