For this Project the team created a photoreal CoolSculpting device with “small‑world” interiors that showcased precision, efficiency, and clinical rigor. Inspired by 60s–70s sci‑fi and Syd Mead, they turned sketches into cohesive CG rooms that integrate human scale and real machine constraints. Built with Maya, Nuke, Photoshop, and After Effects, the interactive imagery became a clear, dramatic storytelling tool for representatives.
The team were commissioned to create a CGI representation of a cool sculpting machine replete with an imaginary world interior to highlight the strengths and innovative qualities of their unique non-invasive fat reduction technology.
This unique project combined multiple creative software including Nuke, Maya, Photoshop and After Effects to bring this dramatic imagery to life. The team worked closely with the creatives to create a narrative for the interactive tool used by Cool Sculpting representative, creating a series of ‘small-world’ rooms and environments integrated into the machine. These rooms would highlight the machine’s powerful strengths, efficiency, expertise, and all the intensive research and clinical studies which have come together to create this unique device. The team concept department developed initial sketch designs which followed a classic Science Fiction feel from the 60’s and 70s, inspired by the artist Syd Mead. Perhaps the most exciting and complex challenge was to develop the 2D concepts into fun CG environments, whilst ensuring that every room felt like an embedded and integral part of the entire machine, whilst acknowledging and working around the real-life restrictions of the genuine machine. We also had to add in people to exist in this space whilst ensuring the scale was accurate across every environment.
The team relished the challenges that came with the execution of developing this creative and unique project.
